to the person i never thought i would outgrow;

congratulations! all your hard works paid off. i’ve seen you strive to make ends meet. i’ve seen you struggled, you sacrificed so much. i’ve seen you grow and turn into a butterfly rustling it’s beautiful wings into the world. i couldn’t be more proud that you finally made it and i was there to witness it.

no matter what, i hope you know that you still have me. things may not have been what i wanted it to be, but know that you did not lose me. you’re not losing me. we may have stopped talking but i will still be here; you will always have me.

for now, i hope for both of us to find the peace we are both yearning for. i hope you’ll find all the happiness you couldn’t find in me. as long as i live, you will always have someone who is proud of you in anything you choose to do.
